Meet The Team
Michele Parrett - Owner, Head Instructor and Trainer
Michele is the heart of Kolt Equestrian. With a lifelong passion for horses, she began riding as a child and has spent over 40 years showing, training, and teaching riders of all levels. Her extensive background spans multiple disciplines, from the precision of dressage to the relaxed elegance of western pleasure, giving her the ability to adapt her teaching style to any rider’s goals.
Michele’s philosophy is simple: every rider is unique, and lessons should be as individual as the people taking them. She takes the time to understand each student’s personality, learning style, and comfort level, creating a supportive environment where progress feels natural and fun. Her goal is not only to teach riding skills, but also to help her students grow into confident, well-rounded equestrians—developing strong partnerships with their horses and a deep appreciation for every aspect of the sport.
Whether you’re just starting out or working toward competition goals, Michele’s blend of expertise, patience, and encouragement will help you get the most out of your riding journey.
Charlotte Bradshaw- Instructor and Trainer
Charlotte has been in the saddle for as long as she can remember—quite literally riding since she could walk. Trained under Kolt Equestrian’s head instructor (and her mom, Michele), she’s grown up immersed in the world of horses, learning from decades of experience and developing her own teaching style along the way.
Charlotte believes that great riding starts with understanding the rider as a whole person. She takes the time to learn each student’s personality, strengths, and challenges, tailoring lessons to make the experience not only productive, but also enjoyable. Her philosophy is that being well-rounded—both in and out of the arena—creates more adaptable, confident riders.
Known for balancing focus with fun, Charlotte knows when to buckle down and get serious, but she’s also quick to find humor in the moment. Her approachable, encouraging style helps riders feel comfortable, confident, and excited to keep learning. Whether you’re taking your very first lesson or looking to refine your skills, Charlotte is passionate about helping you grow as both a rider and a horseperson.
