Safety Regulations
Helmets Required: All riders must wear an approved riding helmet at all times while mounted. Helmets must meet safety standards set by the ASTM or SEI.
Emergency Procedures: In case of an emergency, all riders must follow the instructions of the staff immediately.
Footwear: Proper riding boots with a heel are required for all riders. Open-toed shoes or sandals are not permitted at any time.
Lesson Policies
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged for the lesson. No-shows will be charged the full lesson fee. Lessons will be held rain or shine, except in cases of lightning or severe weather conditions.
Payment: Payment for lessons is due at the time of booking. We accept cash, checks, and credit cards. Package deals are available for multiple lessons.
Skill Levels: Lessons are available for all skill levels, from beginners to advanced riders. Riders will be assessed before being placed in a group lesson.
Time Period: Lessons bought in a package must be used within 3 months of purchase date.
Liability Waivers
Waiver Requirement: All participants must sign a liability waiver before engaging in any activities on the farm. This waiver acknowledges the inherent risks of horseback riding and releases the farm from liability.
Medical Information: Participants must provide any relevant medical information, including allergies or conditions that may affect their ability to ride.
Payment Policies
Payment Methods: We accept cash, checks, and major credit cards. Payments for boarding are due on the first of each month. Late payments will incur a fee.
Late Fees: A late fee of $40 will be applied to any payments received after the 5th of the month. Continued late payments may result in termination of services.
Behavior Expectations
Respectful Conduct: All clients, riders, and visitors must treat staff, horses, and other clients with respect. Any abusive behavior will result in immediate dismissal from the farm.
Noise Levels: Please keep noise to a minimum around the horses to avoid causing stress. Cell phone use should be limited in the barn area.
Children: Children must be supervised at all times and are not allowed in the barn or riding areas without adult supervision.
Facility Use
Arena Rules: The riding arena is open from 9 AM to 8 PM. Please clean up after you and your horse and respect the schedule for lessons and events. No jumping is allowed outside designated areas.
No Outside Horses: Outside horses are not permitted on the property without prior approval from management. All visiting horses must meet health requirements.
Parking: Designated parking areas must be used. Please do not block access to roads, barns or arenas.
Communication
Emergency Contacts: Please ensure your contact information is up to date at all times.
Health Requirements
Vaccination Records: All horses must have current vaccinations (e.g., rabies, tetanus, West Nile virus) and must be presented upon arrival. A health certificate from a veterinarian is required for new arrivals.
Health Checks: Horses must undergo a health check by a veterinarian at least once a year. Any signs of illness, including coughing, limping, or unusual behavior, must be reported to the staff immediately.
Deworming Schedule: Horses must be dewormed every six months, and records must be kept on file.
Leasing Agreements
Lease Terms: Lessees are responsible for the horse's care, and cleanliness of areas. This includes keeping tack clean and putting away all tack, grooming equipment, and other items used before leaving. This also picking horse’s feet, de-tangling the horse’s manes and tails regularly, and currying/brushing the horse’s coat.
Restrictions: Lessees may not jump the horse without prior approval from the farm manager. Any changes in the horse's routine must be discussed with the owner.
Health: Lessees must report any signs of illness, including coughing, limping, or unusual behavior to the staff immediately.
